The Purple House History

Take a trip back in time to a gentler, more gracious way of living with a stay at The Purple House Bed and Breakfast. This elegantly remodeled Queen Anne style mansion was a built in 1882 by Dr. Pietrzycki, a Dayton pioneer physician and philanthropist.

 

Today, the Purple House weds modern-day comfort with the more relaxed culture of yesterday. situated on a quiet side street in Dayton, Washington, it is the crowning jewel in a town recognized as the gateway to the beautiful Blue Mountains, a favorite destination for hiking, skiing, hunting and fishing. Dayton is also a historical gem, boasting two complete districts on the National Historic Register and Dozens of well-preserved Victorian homes.

 

Dr. Pietrzycki’s home was a haven of culture and gracious living in the last century. That tradition is lovingly continued by the present owner, who adds the refinement of the European tradition in a which she was raised.
